For those of us who will not be with family this Christmas (or have none left), I have complied a list of suitable restaurants that will be open should you find youself lazy, lacking a wellestablished cook or company. I will email you the list if you request it here.

People shouldn't be eating out for Christmas! I'd probably need some help, but I'm happy to cook something for people who are at the mansion for Christmas!

But what better gift to give yourself at Christmas than a hot meal prepared by someone else, served by someone else, on dishes to be washed by someone else? I would not go for it, but I can see the appeal.

I am not sure! I much prefer a home-cooked meal than eating out, especially during the holidays.

It is more of a time to reflect and the restaurants are quiet. I find there is much appeal there, though there is a possibility I will not be alone. This is the first christmas (of the last two years) spent out of a coma. I'd rather not cook it myself and it is an important one.

Yes. This is why. Also sometimes it is nice to eat something non-traditional for Christmas.

It is a slow establishing tradition that I go out on Christmas and pay for a hot meal.

I may need you for a cooking lesson later or rather, a baking lesson for cookies. I have an experiment underway.

Really? How come?

Well! I am always available for the teaching, whenever you like! I've been baking a lot in the lead up to Christmas, you're welcome to stop by anytime.

There is no family to celebrate and even then, celebrations when they were alive were limited to someone else cooking.

I may do that.

Christmas doesn't necessarily have to be about family, especially when you live in a community like this. And hey, if you stay here this year, it will still be someone else's cooking! You just won't be eating by yourself.

Good! I look forward to seeing you.

If you are cooking anyways, I may change my plans to Christmas eve, depending on the company. It seems more important now than ever to make a proper decision, one that I will not regret.

I would love to see you there! I will ask around, see who else is going to be around. I'm sure we're not the only ones who will be here for Christmas. And it certainly isn't a time that anyone should be spending alone.

Very well. As I said, plans can be modified at the very last minute if need be. I will help, of course, if I am to be eating one of your meals. Dishes included.

Dishes included? Well, how could I say no to help like that?

As you see below, my plans depend on Marie Ange and Doug. I will let you know as soon as I can.

I will be coming for baking lessons. Tuesday?

Sounds great to me! I should be in the kitchen anytime after about 10am, I think!

I quite like eating out, and neither Doug nor I have family anywhere near New York.

And no one wants me to cook anything. I burn water.

Does this mean our plans to eat out are firm? Christmas or Christmas eve?

I think so, yes. I will go check with Doug, he is .. I am not sure where he is, now that I think about it. I will go find Doug and then check with him.

Very good. Please notify me as soon as possible and we'll decide on a restaurant. I will book it as soon as we know.

I was doing work.

And that's fine. Eve or day, I'm not particular.

Still, it's Christmas! You're perfectly welcome to join us if you'd like to stay in, I'm sure I'll be able to cook enough for everyone.

I'm sure you're not that bad!

I am not sure what our plans are yet (as you can see from above) but I will check once I figure out where Doug is.

I am absolutely that bad at cooking. I can chop things and I can stir things but I get very confused once I get past the first step.

That sounds good to me! Let me know what you eventually decide on, and I'll start making catering plans.

Chopping is a very important skill! It is about my least favorite part of cooking, it seems to take the longest.

I'm confused!

Christmas Eve is dinner at a restaurant and Christmas Day, Amara's cooking?
