I see we are repopulating the mansion, considering the group that went missing and assumed dead. Oh yes, people do talk however their high strung emotions speak volumes lately. I do not suppose it would have been considered priority to start a safety course for the younger generations? It seems self defense is not effective enough.

Not really, and whatever the reason, it didn't happen at the school was all I was saying. Talking about security... the people here can't protect the whole wide world every second of every day.

It's safer then a lot of places out there, kid. No, it's not a fortress but that's because Charles decided long ago that he didn't want mutants who came to him to feel like it was them against the world.

I've seen a bunch of really shitty and dangerous places. I won't expect you to believe me on that, we haven't met yet, so I'm pretty much no one to you.

But would you believe me if I told you that a whole bunch of people are trying their hardest to make sure that the school is as safe as anywhere in the world for you guys? We can't always promise complete safety. But then nowhere in the world has that. And it's not always about mutancy either. You can walk down the street even in California and get shot.

I don't know you but you've at least been saner than 90% of the people here who keep pretending it's hugs and puppies and we shouldn't be worried that three people who lived here were brutally murdered or scared that maybe it's not going to stop there.

I know there are risks back home too. I really do.

You can be scared. Back in the day when I went to the school, I was pretty scared myself. And you should be worried that three people were taken.

I'm going to say here that myself and a whole bunch of other people are still looking as to why that happened, and who did it. I'm very much hoping that we find all four alive, if not completely well.

Pete, the other man who was taken is someone I work with. And Garrison is pretty well equipped as far as I know in protecting himself. If there was a way for any of them to survive, I have to believe that they're working to get them all out.

The only thing I can ask you is to trust that everyone there is trying to keep you safe, yeah? We can't ask you not to be worried, that would be stupid. Just try to keep things in perspective though. Sometimes listening to them when they tell you to duck ain't a bad thing.
